Why is sunscreen a necessity?
The sunlight emits two types of harmful rays. 
The first type is called UVA ultraviolet long wave A and the second is called UVB ultraviolet short wave B.

The penetrative ability of UVA rays are so strong that it can penetrate through glass meaning that even when you’re seeking shelter indoors, your skin continues to be exposed to its harmful effects and as a result, one cannot leave the house without a sunscreen since exposing your skin may cause premature aging, wrinkles and UVB rays cause the most damage to the outer layer of skin such as reddening of skin and sunburns. This highlight the importance of applying sunscreen since it can provide a defending protective layer against those harmful rays.

Other than these effects, it also result in wrinkles & freckles, as well as various skin damages like discolouration, sallowness, dryness.

What does SPF and PA means?
The Skin Protection Factor (SPF) rating determines the duration of time your skin stays protected against UVB rays from the sun. 

A sunscreen with the rating of SPF50 is of sufficient coverage, as it blocks up to 98 percent of UVB rays from penetrating into skin. Anything higher than a SPF50 rating compromises on the texture of the sunscreen, making it heavier and greasier when applied to skin. 

PA rating is a Japanese rating system that shows how much protection you are receiving against UVA rays. The higher the number of pluses, the greater the protection against UVA rays. Currently, the highest standard of PA protection in the industry is PA++++. 

What I look for in a sunscreen?

• Non-sticky after feel
• Light, does not clog pores
• Natural finish (not white cast please)
• Smooth and watery
• Silky texture
• Smells good in order for me to apply daily, else it smells like I am heading to the pool instead of school/work/events etc.

As you can see, I purposely squeeze out a lot of product to illustrate how well it can spread and easily absorbed by the skin, no white cast observed, velvety after finish texture achieved.

What I like about this product is that it is very light and watery which explains why the product spread and absorbed really well into skin. I really like the non- sticky after feel and at the same time leaving a velvety, silky soft texture which I really appreciate. In this product, hyaluronic acid and citrus extract are added to keep our skin hydrated and fresh. It is also cooling and refreshing on skin upon application since the product contains Aqua Micro Capsule - a water capsule which breaks upon application on skin to release the UV protection agent while giving skin a cool and refreshed feeling. This product also double up as a makeup base and can be used for on face and body. Honestly speaking, I am really a fan of watery texture sunscreen, it really works well for me and it does not clog my pores since it is lightweight. (FYI:  I purchased and used the Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence and have used it before I discover this product)

After Cleansing....

My verdict:

Lightweight -> Yes!

 I like the refreshed after feel, there is no sticky, oily or greasy residue, making our skin feel refreshed. 

Gentle on skin -> Yes!

After cleansing, I can feel my skin baby smooth and not squeaky clean, my face is moisturised thanks to the essence present in the formula which helps us to nourish and hydrate our skin for a dewy moisturised finish.

Cleansing ability -> Reasonable power!

As I am curious to try the product cleansing ability . I performed a swatch test and applied the same force to remove all my makeup. Verdict: It can effectively remove all my makeup (eyeliner, lipsticks, concealer, bb cream with ease) except for my stubborn hard to be removed - waterproof mascara.

SWATCH TEST

After Round 1, 1 pump of makeup remover and I massage it in a clockwise direction for 2-3 times. What is remained is my stubborn waterproof mascara but other makeup swatches has been effectively cleansed with ease.

It takes another round of massaging before it is finally gone with a little of its residue left, do refer to the picture so that you can better understand my explanation. As a result based on this test I can conclude that the makeup remover has reasonable power to remove traces of makeup as the result are better as compared to the old Aqua Jelly Makeup remover and other makeup remover that I have used in the past.

Very slight residue left.

I experience a little difficulty to remover my waterproof, smudge proof mascara. As a I did a swatch test to test the product cleansing ability and yes I agree that its ability to cleanse is high as I can remove my eyeliner, lipsticks, bb cream, concealer with ease except for my waterproof mascara.

However, after another round of massaging, it is finally gone, so I can conclude that the makeup remover has reasonable power to remove traces of makeup as I make a comparison to other makeup remover that I have used in the past. Overall it effectively cleanse light makeup but it does take a little more effort to remove stubborn waterproof makeup such as mascara! As a result I can easily solve the problem by using a mascara remover. I will give it a rate of 9/10! Thank you Biore for improving this product!

My review

Yes this formula is better than some of the mascara that I have used in the past, as you can see I have very sparse and droopy eyelashes and therefore I always stay away from using one and opt for fake eyelashes instead. However, I manage to see a huge difference for this product. The cc brush definitely helped me as it is able to curl and define both the upper and lower lashes and yes WITHOUT USING A CURLER!  I always love multitasking. You just need to use the arched side of the brush and brush it upwards in a zigzag motion. I also like it that it is smudge proof and you won't end up looking like a panda after school and start to be self-conscious of your image during an important event. Definitely convenient since the fibre brush can satisfy your needs from this little tube of delight!products. However it does clump but you can easily solve the problem with a clean mascara wand tool. 

As for the removal process yes it is slightly hard to remove but manageable with the help of the combination of oil-in-water makeup remover, shake formula, and gently use a cotton pad with remover loaded on, hold it for several seconds before wiping gently, repeat process for about 3-4 times to completely remove the residue.

Take note: Results are not fabricated as I have tried it on myself but do take note results may vary eye to eye. Since some eyelashes can be longer, much denser as compared to mine. It also varies as other reasons might consist of makeup skills, ability to control mascara wand over a period of time.

My verdict: 

Yes being a victim of having combination hair as I regularly bleach and dye my hair, the New!
